Interrail Planner

Terms of Service

Last updated: 22 July 2026

These are the terms for using Interrail Planner. We’ve kept them plain, because a planning tool shouldn’t need a law degree to read.

What Interrail Planner is

Interrail Planner is a tool for planning slow train trips around Europe. You build a wishlist of places, draft a day-by-day itinerary, and can share it. Right now it’s free to use while we build it. By using it, you agree to these terms.

We plan trips, we don’t sell them

Interrail Planner is a planning tool, not a travel agency or a booking service. We show routes, stops, timetable-derived times, and ideas, and we link out to other companies — for example Booking.com, Hostelworld, and Airbnb for places to stay — when you want to book something. Any booking, payment, ticket, or reservation is a contract between you and that company, under their terms, not ours.

Travel times can change

The routes and times we show are worked out from published timetables, and timetables change — trains get retimed, cancelled, or rerouted. Treat what you see here as a plan, not a promise. Always check the details with the train operator or accommodation before you rely on them, especially for connections and last trains of the day.

Your account

You need an account to save your work across devices. Keep your password to yourself and let us know if you think someone else has gotten into your account. You can delete your account at any time from your account settings — doing so permanently removes your account and the trips, wishlist, and profile tied to it; the Privacy page describes exactly what deletion covers.

Your trips and sharing

The trips you create are yours. By default they’re private. You choose whether to share one by link (unlisted) or make it public — a public trip can appear in places like the Library or be featured — and you can change that or delete the trip whenever you like. If you invite people to help edit a trip, they can see and change that trip.

Only share content you have the right to share, and remember that anything you make public can be seen and saved by others.

Using it fairly

Please don’t:

  • break the law or use Interrail Planner to harm others;
  • try to break, overload, scrape, or reverse-engineer the service;
  • upload content you don’t have the rights to, or anything hateful or abusive;
  • misuse other people’s shared trips or try to access accounts that aren’t yours.

If someone uses the service in a way that harms it or other travellers, we may limit or close their access.

No guarantees

Interrail Planner is provided “as is” while we’re building it. We can’t promise it will always be available, error-free, or complete, and we’re not responsible for third-party bookings you make or for travel plans that change. Please use your own judgement when planning and travelling.

Changes to these terms

As the product grows we may update these terms; when we do, we’ll change the date at the top of this page. If a change matters, it’s worth a fresh read. Questions? Email the operator of Interrail Planner at hello@interrail-planner.com.
